Special and Custom Orders

We are happy to accommodate special and custom yarn orders when our production schedule allows. A minimum order of 10 skeins applies to all special and custom orders.

Special Orders

Special orders use our standard yarn bases and colors, but are dyed specifically for you. A special order may be a good option if:

• You need a specific quantity of one of our standard colors.
• You need more skeins than we currently have available in stock.

Special orders are priced at our standard retail price unless otherwise noted.

At the time of order, I will provide a timeline for completion of your project.

Custom Orders

Custom orders involve yarn, colors, or dye work outside of our standard offerings. An order is considered custom if:

• You would like a color on a yarn base that we do not normally offer it on.
• You are looking for a color outside of our standard palette.
• You would like us to develop or test a color specifically for your project.
• You would like to see several variations or shades before selecting a final color.

Custom dye orders have a $50 development fee, which includes up to three dye tests. Additional dye tests are $25 each. This fee is separate from the cost of the yarn.

Once the final color and yarn base are approved, yarn is priced according to the base, quantity, and dye materials required.

Rush Orders

Rush service may be available for special and custom orders depending on our current production schedule. Rush orders are subject to an additional fee of 20% of the yarn order, with a minimum rush fee of $50.

For custom orders, the rush fee is in addition to the custom color development fee. Please contact us before placing a rush order so we can confirm availability and timing.

A Note About Natural Color

Natural dyes are derived from plants, insects, and other natural materials, and subtle variations are part of their character. While we will work to reproduce an approved color as closely as possible, exact color matching cannot be guaranteed from one dye lot to another.
